Our Vets

Dr Contreras has over 25 years of experience in the veterinary field. She was a veterinary assistant for five years prior to receiving her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Western University of Health Sciences, Pomona in 2007. She is certified in Veterinary Acupuncture from the Chi Institute in Florida and has completed their Food Therapy Course. Fear Free Level 2 Certified. 

Dr. Contreras has experienced many facets of veterinary medicine, from high volume spay & neuter, to shelter work, emergency and critical care and general practice and wellness. 

Dr. Per Karlsson graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2012. Since 2018, he has practiced exclusively as an emergency relief veterinarian, focusing on critical care and emergency surgery. A member of the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society, Dr. Karlsson is dedicated to supporting pet owners through urgent health issues and advancing progressive veterinary care. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors with his wife, three dogs, and two cats.

Dr. Palmeri received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from St George University in 2019.  He is passionate about  science and animal health/welfare. 

Dr. Trujillo received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from St George University in 2020.  Her passion is to make a positive impact and difference in the lives of animals by helping them have the best quality of life in all circumstances. .
